Our little experiment has exceeded our expectations and also done much more. What was a business experiment became a labor of love. With the tremendous support of our customers and in particular our European and foreign friends, we worked to create increased value and recognition of Troll Beads. This has helped everyone and everyone has seen the value of his or her retired beads skyrocket.

We never intended our high prices on specifically the Tibetan beads as a greedy moneymaker for our business. At the beginning, our pricing infuriated many and we received hundreds of email and calls of complaints. However, the intended effect of our pricing succeeded and now retired beads are no longer discounted at the retail stores. This has resulted in an increased value to all of our investments in our personal pieces of art, our TrollBeads jewelry. It has also prevented the sale of retired beads on eBay above the price we sell the beads at. When you purchased a bead from us, you were assured an original quality piece and that we stood behind everything we sold.

This project has been costly for our small company. Finding retired beads has become much more difficult for us, and much more costly. Most people expect to sell their retired beads to us at the prices we show on the site. This has required additional effort to find reliable sources for the beads we offer. Nevertheless, it has become a labor of love and we hope we have been a valuable resource and source for your Troll Beads needs. We have accomplished this by listening to you and responding to your needs.

We now regretfully must inform our friends from outside the USA, (Europe, Asia, and Australia) that we cannot ship Trollbeads outside the USA. We will still ship to North America, and the Caribbean. The falling US dollar and the pricing structure at Troll Beads has resulted in our beads being less expensive than the beads sold by your local retailers. We support this move to protect the livelihood of your local businesses and the value of Trollbeads in Europe. It really is unfair to them that you can buy from us for less. Even though our business is primarily retired Trollbeads, and our intention was never to hurt your local businesses, we have been instructed that we must not ship both current and retired Trollbeads outside the USA. We are working hard to get the retired beads exempt from this rule and we will keep you informed.
